The distinction this shelf exists to make: there is an enormous amount of YouTube content about language learning, and considerably less that actually teaches a language. Both use the same titles.
A video explaining why immersion works, why flashcards decay, and why you should not study grammar is a video about method. It can be excellent. But an hour of it leaves you knowing how to learn and not knowing any more of the language than when you started — and if you have watched four of them, the fifth adds almost nothing, which is exactly what the density measurement picks up.
So the ranking here is by how much of the runtime carries something the previous minute did not, which pushes the fourth restatement of the same method down and lifts material you can actually work through. Entries carry a level, because comprehensible input only works if the input is comprehensible to you.
What we cannot measure: whether a claim about how acquisition works is supported. A confident, well-structured, densely argued video about a contested theory scores well here on the strength of its construction alone.
